Core responsibilities
The overnight residential counselor is responsible for the safety and supervision of clients aged 12 to 17 in a 6-Bed residential treatment center, requiring them to remain awake and alert throughout the entire 10 pm to 6 am shift. Duties also include performing minor facility chores, assisting with inventory checks, and documenting all shift activities.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or ged (College coursework or a bachelor's degree is preferred) and be at least 21 years old with 6-9 months of experience working with teens facing mental health or substance abuse issues, preferably in a group home setting. A valid california driver's license and the ability to pass comprehensive background checks are mandatory.
