- Job Summary Holy Infant Catholic School is seeking a dedicated Junior Kindergarten Aide to support the Lead Teacher four days per week (Monday–Thursday), full day.
- This position plays an important role in helping create a warm, structured, and faith‑filled environment for young learners.
- The Junior Kindergarten Aide assists the Lead Teacher in providing a joyful, developmentally appropriate classroom experience rooted in Catholic values.
- The ideal candidate is caring, dependable, patient, and enthusiastic about early childhood education.
- This role supports the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development of 4‑year‑old children while helping maintain a safe, engaging, and organized classroom environment.
- Key Responsibilities
- Support the Lead Teacher in delivering daily lessons, centers, and classroom activities.
- Assist with supervising students during classroom work, playtime, rest periods, mealtimes, and transitions.
- Help create a safe, welcoming, and faith‑centered environment for students.
- Provide individualized attention and reinforcement to students as needed.
- Prepare materials, supplies, and learning centers under the direction of the Lead Teacher.
- Encourage positive behavior, cooperation, and kindness among students.
- Help maintain classroom organization and cleanliness, following health and safety guidelines.
- Communicate positively and professionally with students, families, and staff.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and training as required.
- Support the mission and values of Holy Infant Catholic School and the Catholic Church.
Qualifications: & Skills
- Experience working with young children in a preschool, classroom, or childcare setting preferred.
- Warm, patient, and nurturing disposition with a genuine love for young learners.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow directions, support lesson implementation, and assist with classroom management.
- Ability to engage in active play, supervise safely, and meet physical needs of a JK classroom (lifting, bending, floor activities).
- Dependability, professionalism, and commitment to a faith‑based environment.
Position Details
Four days per week (Monday–Thursday), full day schedule. Follows the school‑year calendar. Compensation aligns with school guidelines for aide positions.
