Habilitation Voc Specialist (Day Program -Wayne NJ) Full-Time

The specialist acts as an advocate for day program consumers, setting an example for dignity and safety, and helps determine daily program activities in collaboration with senior staff. Responsibilities also include assisting consumers with achieving independence through participation in activities, supporting ihp goals, and assisting with personal needs like hygiene and feeding.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or ged, and ideally possess 1-2 years of successful employment with the same agency or 1 year of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. All candidates must pass mandatory pre-Employment checks including a criminal background history, fingerprint examination, and drug testing, and must possess a valid driver's license.
