The substitute teacher is responsible for the direct supervision and instruction of middle school students, following the curriculum provided by the principal or the absent teacher. Essential functions include actively supervising students, responding to parent communication, and overseeing instruction while adhering to the regular teacher's daily routine.

Candidates should ideally possess a degree in elementary education and current msde certification, along with knowledge of child development and supervision. Experience teaching high-Level, accelerated english language arts coursework is desired for this long-Term substitute role.
