- Summary: A Recruiting Assistant for the Business Competition Team assists both the Head Coach and the Assistant Coach for Recruitment in the following centered around recruitment of new students for the Business Competition Team.
- Duties, include, but are not limited to: 1. Planning campus visits for Business Competition Team recruits who have a desire to visit campus. 2. Serving as a host for recruits during their campus visits. 3. Collaborating with Coaching Staff on recruits and their fit for the Business Competition Team culture. 4. When able, traveling with Business Competition Team Coaching Staff to area high schools, community colleges, in addition to High School District, State, and International Competitions for DECA and FBLA to help manage promotional booths.
Essential Functions
- Perform job duties in accordance with Columbia College’s vision, mission and values, and contributes to the development of the Student Affairs Department.
- The student must demonstrate enthusiasm, punctuality, reliability and excellent organizational and communication skills; have the ability to trouble-shoot and problem-solve.
- Perform duties in accordance with Columbia College’s vision, mission, and values.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
- Want to positively impact and encourage student success
- Be enrolled full time on the traditional campus in Columbia, Missouri
Requirements
- Ability to fluently read, write, and understand the English language.
- Proficiency with the following but not limited to active listening; speaking; writing; critical thinking; judgment and decision making; monitoring; reading comprehension; time management; coordination; and management of personnel resources.
- Proficiency for using a variety of computer and technology-related software and equipment, including Microsoft Office products and database systems.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with or without direct supervision.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
