✨Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Direct Juvenil Support Worker at The Tuscaloosa Academy for Growth and Change for our facility in Tuscaloosa, Alabama✨
TAGC is a secure residential program for female youth, through our trained programming for staff, we promotes a normalized high school experience, offers a safe environment and provides opportunities for positive change, as well as providing the unlimited potential for achievement and growth for students and staff. Our campus features residential student dormitories, on-site school and library, vocational training program, chapel, gymnasium, medical and an outdoor recreation area. Pay
$16.00 per hour based on education and experience. Full-Time Schedule includes 4 hours of guaranteed overtime each pay period Full-Time

What you will do
A Coach Counselor provides in person safety and security around-the-clock. In this role, you will provide for the physical, personal and health needs of each youth through individual mentoring and skill development. A Coach Counselor provides an atmosphere that is supportive of the youth’s needs; monitor and document behaviors and activities; and participate and assist with educational, social, athletic and recreational activities. Coach Counselor will collaborate with other professional staff to establish and meet the goals of each youth's treatment plan. Programming focuses on building teamwork, accountability, and conflict resolution skills while encouraging peer interaction and community living.
To be considered you should
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent ~ Be at least 21 years of age ~ Prior experience is a PLUS, but not required ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry.
