Dental Assistant I/ II - UT Dentists

The dental assistant will perform routine tasks assisting professional dental staff and students during examination, prophylactic, therapeutic, and surgical patient treatments. Key duties include providing chairside assistance, maintaining sterile equipment and instruments, upholding infection control standards, and assisting in teaching dental students.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and completion of a recognized dental assistant educational program is preferred. Candidates must obtain dental assistant certification by the texas state board of dental examiners (Tsbde) and must be able to handle physical requirements involving moving up to 50 pounds occasionally.
