Core responsibilities
The specialist will work within a transdisciplinary team to build therapeutic relationships, support the planning and implementation of specialized student plans like ieps and bips, and deliver direct behavioral intervention to reduce impeding behaviors. Responsibilities also include coaching school staff on behavioral intervention capacity and completing necessary documentation.
Requirements summary
Candidates must meet education and experience requirements, which include a bachelor's degree plus 2 years of applicable experience working with children exhibiting extremely challenging behaviors, or equivalent combinations of education and experience. Reliable transportation and necessary clearances (Tb test, fingerprinting) are also required.
