We operate diverse programs from Head Start, Day Car and Universal Pre-K programs; to elementary and middle school after-school programs, summer day camps and summer Playstreets. Position Summary

The Student Career Advisor provides individualized guidance and support to middle and high school–aged youth, helping participants identify career goals, develop professional skills, and navigate education and workforce pathways. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who can mentor, motivate, and prepare students for future academic and career success. Pay & Commitment: $25 per hour 4-hour shifts, 2 days per week 20 weeks beginning in March Where: Polo Grounds Cornerstone — Police Athletic League, Inc. Key Responsibilities Conduct one-on-one or small group career coaching sessions with students Assist students in identifying career interests, strengths, and goals Provide guidance on resume building, interview skills, and professional etiquette Help students explore education and training options aligned with career aspirations QualificationsRequired Qualifications Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in career coaching, youth development, counseling, or related fields Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Human Services, Psychology, or related field required Experience working with middle and high school–aged youth Strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve academic and career goals Familiarity with workforce development resources, career exploration tools, and professional skill-building techniques

Preferred Qualifications
