Frontier Schools is seeking an anticipated Special Education Teacher for the 2026–27 school year. The starting salary for this position is $63,000 and will be commensurate with experience and education.
Qualification Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university Valid Missouri teacher certificate in Special Education.
Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students. Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students. Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisor. Utilize various instructional techniques and instructional media consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved. Assess the students' progress regularly and provide progress reports as required. Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect the students, equipment, materials, and facilities. Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations. Comply with all district policies, rules, and regulations. Develop classroom rules and maintain order in a fair and just manner. Be available to the students and parents for education-related purposes. Plan and supervise purposeful assignments for teacher aide(s) and volunteer(s) and cooperatively with department heads. Participate in district and campus staff development. Attend staff meetings and serve on staff committees. Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues. Prepare and submit lesson prep in a timely manner on the platform the school utilizes. Maintain a minimum number of grades in the grade book promptly. Perform other duties as assigned.
