Water Exercise Instructor

The water fitness instructor is responsible for teaching a safe and effective class that promotes total fitness development for members, while strictly following ymca instructor guidelines and protocols. This role also requires enforcing aquatic rules and policies and preparing progressive exercise plans.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and must achieve and maintain ymca water fitness certification within 120 days of hire. Candidates need general knowledge of exercise training, physical fitness to demonstrate exercises, and the mental alertness to respond effectively to emergencies, including administering cpr and first aid.
