Core responsibilities
The field supervisor will observe teacher candidates, evaluate their performance, and provide constructive feedback to improve their effectiveness as developing educators, serving as a liaison between the school district and the university. Responsibilities include conducting formal observations (Pop cycles) and informal walkthroughs, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with mentor teachers and administrators.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a valid certification in the class they supervise and have three years of creditable experience, along with completing mandatory texas education agency (Tea)-Approved t-Tess field supervisor observation training or holding an active t-Tess appraiser certificate. Applicants must also be willing to travel within a 100-Mile radius to supervise candidates.
