Job Description

General Summary: Responsible in assisting administratively with camps, scouting and recruitment of student athletes, On-floor coaching during games and practices, Monitor the academic progress and eligibility status of student athletes. Maintains equipment, participates in funding raising and public relations activities and with special projects as assigned by the Head Coach.

Responsibilities

Coaching games and practices include team instruction and game planning during the championship segment, individual skill instruction during the non-championship segment, youth instruction in summer camps and clinics, practice preparation, scouting and film review. Skill evaluation and recruitment of college-bound student-athletes. Monitoring and ensuring the academic progress and ongoing eligibility of currently enrolled student-athletes. General administrative task and public relations activities as assigned by the head coach. Maintains 100% compliance with timely completion of required System, University and job-specific online training courses. Necessary Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Prior NCAA DII basketball playing or coaching experience. Ability to pass NCAA Recruiting test annually is required

Preferred Qualifications

Prior success at the NCAA DII basketball level as a player or a coach. Prior professional experience as a player or coach in the sport of basketball. Knowledge of NCAA regulations.
