Teacher - Reading

The reading teacher is responsible for designing standards-Based lesson plans, monitoring student progress using formal and informal assessments, and implementing differentiated instruction to ensure girls master state standards in reading for grades 6-12. This role also involves creating a safe, girl-Centered, trauma-Informed classroom environment and collaborating with colleagues to meet student and organizational requirements.

Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree or higher and hold an active florida department of education (Fldoe) teaching certificate. Required knowledge includes the subject area for 6-12 reading, comfortable using the principles of the science of reading.
