Special Education Teacher

The special education teacher collaborates with the behavior analyst and iep team to develop and implement individualized education programs (Ieps), ensuring quality documentation and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities also include leading daily instruction, managing classroom environments, overseeing staff, monitoring student progress, and maintaining professional family interactions.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in education, psychology, applied behavior analysis, or a related field, along with a valid virginia special education teaching license for adapted curriculum k-12 or a specific disability endorsement. One year of experience instructing individuals with autism using aba principles is preferred, and a valid driver's license is required.
