Teacher Aide, Early Head Start

The teacher aide collaborates with the lead teacher and teacher assistant to implement the daily education program, ensuring all classroom activities are developmentally appropriate and meet individual child needs according to standards and agency philosophy. Responsibilities include administrative tasks like documentation and attendance monitoring, supporting child development through observation, and contributing to curriculum planning and assessment utilization.

Candidates must meet specific educational criteria, such as a high school diploma/Ged plus 30 college hours including 15 in ece/Child development, or a non-Expired infant/Toddler cda, or an associate degree in ece with relevant coursework. A minimum of six months of experience in an early childhood or childcare program is required for all educational paths.
