Educational Paraprofessional (53094)

The primary goal is to support professional staff in meeting the needs of students eligible for special education by working as a team member in their educational and social development. Responsibilities include performing instructional activities, monitoring student results, assisting with behavior management, and providing input on student progress to the teacher.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or ged and must be certified or willing to become a qualified paraprofessional as required by chapter 14. The role requires the ability to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted, proficiency in cpr/First aid/Restraint management systems, and basic computer skills including microsoft office.
