Special Education Teacher (53093)

The teacher is responsible for following all federal and state regulations and caiu policies to meet the instructional needs of eligible children, which includes performing data collection, progress monitoring, and leading individualized education program (Iep) planning meetings. Key duties also involve providing appropriate instruction, maintaining a positive learning environment, and directing the activities of educational paraprofessionals.

Candidates must possess a valid, active pa instructional i or ii certification in a relevant special education area and hold pa highly qualified teacher (Hqt) status. A minimum of a bachelor's degree in an education field is required, along with certification in safe crisis management or safety care.
