  • Thursdays, 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Compensation

$31.00 – $38.75 per hour

Pima Medical Institute is seeking an experienced healthcare professional to join our Denver campus as a part-time Healthcare Foundations Instructor. In this role, you will teach the essential anatomy, physiology, and professional skills that form the foundation of every student's medical career — twice a week, on a schedule that works around your life.

No teaching experience? No problem. If you have the medical background, we provide a comprehensive Train the Trainer program to help you become an effective and confident educator.

Courses You'll Teach

  • Anatomy & Physiology and Medical Terminology
  • Study skills, math fundamentals, and computer literacy
  • CPR and First Aid certification

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learning styles.
  • Advise students on academic progress and professional conduct during regular office hours.
  • Grade coursework and assessments within a 72-hour window to provide timely feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of course materials, syllabi, and classroom handouts.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, advisory boards, and campus graduations.
  • Track student attendance and coordinate with leadership regarding absences.
  • Maintain an 80% student success rate for all classes taught.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of practical work experience in a medical setting.
  • Graduation from an accredited medical program (MA, Nursing, Allied Health, Dental, or similar) OR an additional 3 years of related occupational experience.
  • Strong, demonstrated knowledge of Anatomy & Physiology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint essential) and Google Workspace.
