Applicants must meet qualifications for advanced education as outlined by the commission on dental accreditation standards for pediatric dentistry and must be a graduate of a predoctoral dental program in the us or canada, holding a us or canadian dental degree (Dmd or dds). Certification requires passing ndbe parts 1 and 2 or idbe, along with pals and bls.
