Early Head Start/Head Start Family Advocate (Alameda County)

The family advocate supports head start compliance by managing participant files, performing data entry in childplus software across all content areas, and creating monthly mandate calendars for teachers. This role also involves empowering parents through curriculum facilitation, coordinating parent meetings, and connecting families with community resources and emergency assistance.

Candidates must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to work autonomously and as part of a team with diverse populations. A minimum of an associate's degree is required, preferably with coursework in early childhood education, and bilingual english/Spanish proficiency is mandatory, along with the ability to drive 80% of the time.
