Substitute Teacher - East Point Center

The substitute teacher assists regular staff in the care and education of children by maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment, promoting healthy eating, and sharing routine duties like cleanup and supervision. Responsibilities also include implementing hands-On activities, promoting positive guidance, encouraging independence, and interacting positively with children and families.

Candidates must be able to perform physical tasks such as sitting on the floor, hearing children from a distance, and lifting up to 30 lbs unassisted. A high school diploma or ged is required, with a child development associate (Cda) or a degree in early childhood education being preferred.
