Assistant Professor of Nursing

The assistant professor is responsible for teaching thirty credit hours per academic year, delivering courses in various formats, and ensuring all teaching aligns with institutional standards. Key duties involve evaluating student learning outcomes, providing academic advising, developing curriculum, and participating in program review and accreditation activities.

Minimum qualifications require a master's degree in nursing and active r.n. Licensure in connecticut, along with either four years of college teaching experience or two years of teaching experience combined with four or more years of relevant clinical nursing experience. Preferred qualifications include experience teaching in simulation labs and specific nursing areas like medical-Surgical or maternal-Child health.
