Special Education Teacher, Cross Categorical Resource

The special education teacher coordinates and delivers direct instructional programs tailored to students' individual education programs (Ieps), monitoring progress and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. This role involves developing and implementing ieps, employing diverse teaching strategies, managing classroom behavior, and collaborating with the educational team.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and hold or be eligible for a north carolina professional educator’s license in an exceptional children’s teaching area, excluding academically or intellectually gifted licenses. Extensive knowledge of instructional practices, curriculum standards, and special education policies, along with proficiency in basic office software, is required.
