Special Education Teacher, Emotional Behavior Support

The special education teacher coordinates and provides direct instructional programs for students with disabilities, including the development and implementation of individual education programs (Ieps). They are responsible for monitoring student progress, maintaining a safe learning environment, and collaborating with school staff and families to support student needs.

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and be eligible for a north carolina professional educator’s license in an exceptional children’s teaching area. A valid motor vehicle operator’s license is also required, with preferred qualifications including first aid, cpr, and crisis prevention and intervention (Cpi) certifications.
