Special Education Teacher, Cross Categorical Resource

The primary role involves coordinating and delivering direct instructional programs for special education students based on their individual education programs (Ieps), including developing, implementing, and monitoring these plans. This includes employing various teaching methods, monitoring student progress and behavior, and serving as a collaborative team member in iep meetings.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and hold or be eligible for a north carolina professional educator’s license in an exceptional children’s teaching area, excluding academically or intellectually gifted licenses. Essential knowledge includes instructional practices for specially designed instruction, curriculum standards, and relevant state/Federal policies, alongside proficiency in microsoft office and google apps.
