The role involves learning effective young life ministry through training and direct field experience, focusing on spiritual development, leadership equipping, resource development, and direct ministry execution like club and camping. Staff must also handle necessary ministry support tasks such as administration, data management, and adhering to organizational policies.

Applicants must profess a belief in jesus christ as their personal savior and lord and subscribe to young life's required statements and policies, including refraining from conduct that detracts from biblical standards. Required qualifications include proven relational skills with both youth and adults, demonstrated verbal and written communication abilities, and the capacity to maintain confidentiality.
