Referee/Official Youth Sports, J Douglas YMCA Family Center

The referee/Official is responsible for monitoring youth sports activities, such as basketball, soccer, and volleyball, ensuring all rules are followed, and maintaining fair play during games. Key duties include enforcing game rules, managing participant safety, communicating effectively with coaches, and ensuring games start on time.

Candidates must be at least 16 years old (18 and a high school degree preferred) and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with participants and parents. Required certifications include cpr/Aed and first aid within 60 days of hire, along with the ability to handle physical demands in a potentially loud environment.
