Advertised Salary

Minimum of $1,353 per credit hour, if advanced degree held in primary academic discipline the minimum rate increases to $1,458 per credit hour; Salary commensurate with qualifications pursuant to the FSU and FNTFO/AFT Agreement.

  • Position: The School of Education seeks candidates to teach on a semester-by-semester, as needed basis, in the areas of elementary and secondary education. The instructor is expected to use high-quality instructional strategies, integrate theory and practice, and support student success in coursework and clinical experiences.

Candidates must be available to teach in person (main or other campuses) or synchronously online during the hours of 9 am- 5 pm, with occasional evening courses.

This is a pooled position. One or more candidates may be hired as needed to teach courses on a semester-by-semester basis.

Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses or approved FSU sites. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site.

  • Develop and evaluate assignments, assessments, and performance tasks that measure student learning and professional competencies.
  • Provide timely feedback and assess student performance using university grading policies.
  • Maintain accurate course records, submit grades, initial participation, report accreditation data, and comply with academic policies.
  • Provide scheduled availability at times convenient to students to support their learning.

Faculty
