Core responsibilities
The assistant professor will teach undergraduate courses emphasizing integrative programming, cross-Disciplinary learning, and supporting individualized academic pathways, while also developing and delivering innovative integrative curricula that foster critical thinking and real-World problem solving. Responsibilities also include advising and mentoring students, contributing to program development, engaging in service, and participating in scholarly/Professional activities.
Requirements summary
Candidates must hold a minimum of a master’s degree in education, reading/English/Literacy, career development, special education, or a closely related discipline, along with demonstrated experience teaching at the college or k-12 level with a strong background in interdisciplinary coursework. Required experience also includes student advising or mentoring, and the selected candidate must reside in michigan upon accepting employment.
