St. Paul Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled educator to inspire students academically, spiritually, and socially. The Elementary Teacher creates a positive, engaging classroom environment that fosters strong communication, critical thinking, and a love of learning while integrating the teachings of the Catholic Church. This role supports the development of the whole child and works collaboratively with faculty, parents, and administration.

Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging instruction in core subjects including religion, language arts, math, science, and social studies Foster a classroom culture rooted in Catholic values and respectful student behavior Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with school standards and student needs Differentiate instruction to support individual and small group learning Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with parents and staff Encourage creativity, independent thinking, and student participation Collaborate with colleagues to support student success and school initiatives Supervise students during school activities and participate in school events, committees, and field trips Maintain a safe, structured, and welcoming learning environment

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or related field Tennessee Teacher Licensure (or eligibility) Strong communication and classroom management skills Understanding of child development and effective instructional practices Knowledge of and commitment to the teachings of the Catholic Church Additional Expectations Participate in ongoing professional development and school community activities Utilize technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning Support a collaborative and positive school culture Adhere to all Diocese of Memphis policies, including the Code of Conduct and Safe Environment standards Work Environment & Physical Requirements Ability to manage a full school day in a dynamic environment Lift up to 35 pounds and perform routine physical tasks (standing, walking, bending, etc.) Maintain composure and effectively supervise students in various settings Mission-Focused Commitment All employees are expected to uphold and model the values and teachings of the Catholic Church while fostering a safe, nurturing, and academically excellent environment for every student.
