Core responsibilities
The school nurse will establish and maintain a comprehensive school health program, supervising classroom nursing staff and assisting in student assessment and direct nursing care delivery for children with special needs during the regular school year and summer program. Responsibilities include supervising nursing procedures, identifying medical needs, collaborating with parents and teachers, participating in iep development, and maintaining accurate health records.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be a new jersey licensed registered nurse, preferably holding nj certified school nurse credentials, and possess a bachelor's degree. A minimum of 1 to 3 years of pediatric nursing experience and cpr instruction certification are also required qualifications for this role.
