GME Resident Transitional Year

Resident physicians provide competent, compassionate patient care while working effectively as part of the healthcare team and carrying out necessary administrative duties in a timely manner. They must meet the educational goals of their specific acgme program, adhere to schedules, comply with duty hours, and attend required educational conferences.

Candidates must be enrolled in a kaweah health residency program approved by the acgme and successfully match with kh through the national residency match program (Nrmp). A prerequisite is graduation from a medical school recognized by the california medical board.
