Safety Officer

The safety officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of students and staff across all hcz buildings by conducting risk assessments and proactively monitoring student activity to prevent dangerous behavior. Duties also include securing premises through patrols, monitoring surveillance, guarding entry points, and maintaining compliance with conduct policies.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent along with valid new york state security licenses, including 8 and 16-Hour certificates. Essential requirements include related experience demanding keen observation, strong situational awareness, excellent communication skills, and the physical suitability for security duties.
