Core responsibilities
The daily substitute nurse is responsible for administering medical care to sick or injured students and employees, developing treatment plans, and dispensing prescribed medications as ordered by a physician. Duties also include providing health education, consulting with relevant parties on health issues, and maintaining accurate daily records of student interventions.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution and hold a current georgia license to practice as a registered professional nurse, along with current cpr certification. Essential knowledge includes scoliosis, immunization/Screening techniques, nursing policies, and relevant federal/State/Local healthcare laws.
