Assistant Athletic Trainer

The assistant athletic trainer assists the head athletic trainer in the prevention, care, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries, providing medical coverage for assigned collegiate athletic events and practices. Essential duties include evaluating and treating injuries, coordinating physician communication, implementing emergency action plans, and maintaining confidential medical records.

Candidates must have graduated from a caate-Accredited athletic training program and hold current board of certification certification, along with a pennsylvania professional license and cpr certification. Required abilities include evaluating and treating all athletic injuries, recognizing the need for physician referral, developing rehabilitation plans, and proficiency with standard computer programs.
