Core responsibilities
The assistant teacher will provide developmentally appropriate care and education for children aged 6 weeks to 3 years, fostering growth in social, emotional, nutritional, and physical areas within a nurturing environment. This role involves partnering with families and maintaining a low teacher-To-Child ratio (4:1) as part of the federally funded early head start program.
Requirements summary
Candidates must have experience working in infant-Toddler settings with diverse families and children of all abilities, along with knowledge of child safety, nutrition, and inclusive early learning practices. Successful completion of background checks, a tb risk assessment, and a health exam are mandatory upon hire.
