The primary responsibility is to educate students in the discipline of english by providing instructional experiences that align with the mission and goals of the university or program. This role operates under the administrative direction of the academic dean and/Or the general direction of the program chair.

The minimum requirement for this position is a master's degree in english, although a phd is preferred. Candidates must also possess at least 18 graduate hours specifically in english.
