YMCA Summer Day Camp Counselor

Summer day camp counselors create positive, nurturing relationships with children and build cooperative relationships with parents/Caregivers while supporting the y's mission. They supervise assigned groups of children and assist in planning and implementing culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate program activities.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old with previous experience working with children aged 4-12, preferably in a day camp setting, and must be able to supervise and play with children in a pool setting. Required qualifications also include completing specific training, adhering to abuse prevention policies, and successfully clearing a background check.
