YMCA Summer Day Camp Assistant Counselor

This position supports the y's mission by creating positive, nurturing relationships with children and building cooperative relationships with parents/Caregivers in a day camp environment. The assistant counselor will assist counselors with an assigned group of children, adhere to program standards, and actively participate in department activities.

Candidates must be at least 16 years old and capable of working with children aged 4-12 in a day camp, including supervising and playing in a pool setting. Required qualifications include the ability to work independently, successful background check clearance, and completion of mandatory abuse prevention training prior to the first shift.
