Camp Wakonda Assistant Counselor

This position provides leadership and direct supervision of a group of youth in a seasonal outdoor day camp setting, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment while promoting ymca core values. Responsibilities include assisting in leading energizing and culturally aware camp activities, communicating effectively with parents and staff, and upholding all ymca policies and safety procedures.

Candidates must be at least 16 years of age and must pass a background check and fingerprinting. Preferred qualifications include experience in outdoor education, arts, or sports, along with prior experience working with youth, preferably in a day camp setting for two or more years.
