Core responsibilities
The certified registered nurse anesthetist (Crna) is responsible for administering anesthesia, understanding and correcting associated medical complications, and monitoring patient well-Being during anesthesia. Other duties include maintaining medical charts, collaborating with healthcare professionals, providing post-Operative care, and assisting in training medical personnel.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a master's degree or doctorate from an accredited nurse anesthesia program along with one year of crna experience in an operating room (Or) setting. Certification by the national board of certification and recertification for nurse anesthetists is mandatory, and pediatric or experience is preferred.
