Summer Day Camp Counselor

The counselor provides direct supervision to a group of children in a seasonal day camp, ensuring a quality experience aligned with ymca core values like honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring. Essential functions include planning and implementing culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate program activities while adhering to all safety and cleanliness standards.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, though one or more years of college is preferred for this role. Candidates should ideally have previous experience working with children, preferably in a day camp setting, and experience in areas like songs, sports, or aquatics is beneficial.
