Head Start Preschool Teacher

The incumbent is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and managing classroom activities to meet head start performance standards, which includes implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum based on observations and assessments. Key duties involve engaging constructively with children, practicing positive discipline, completing mandated screenings and assessments, and maintaining classroom cleanliness.

Educational requirements vary based on the specific teacher level (I, ii, or iii), ranging from an associate’s degree (With ece or cda) up to a master’s degree in ece or equivalent. Experience level 2 indicates one to three years of relevant experience, and compensation is tied directly to educational credentials.
