Core responsibilities
Behavior technicians work one-On-One with children implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a board certified behavior analyst (Bcba). This involves using evidence-Based techniques to teach essential skills and reduce interfering behaviors.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be passionate about helping children with autism, possess patience and compassion, and be able to work well in a team, requiring a minimum age of 18 and a high school diploma or ged. Applicants must also be physically capable of various movements and lifting up to 50 pounds, and must obtain cpr/First aid certification and pass a background check.
