Job description

Position Title: Trainer/Faculty

Department: Program Development

Reports To: Senior Supervisor, Training

Position Summary

This position is directly involved in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the agency's comprehensive employee training program, agency certifications/trainings, webinars, and conferences provided to the community at large. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of adult learning principles, teaching methods, and group facilitation skills. This position requires local and at times regional travel.

HOURS: 8 Per Day / 5 Days Per Week

Categories of duties

  • 1.
  • Assists in the coordination and standardization of in-house and agency-sponsored community trainings and conferences.
  • 2.
  • Ensures high-quality standards for all agency staff and community trainings by applying adult learning principles and current best practices in education and teaching methods.
  • 3.
  • Provides training for all employees on NHO, CPI, CPR/First Aid, and other assigned training programs.
  • 4.
  • Collaborates on training-related activities, including preparing documentation materials, reviewing curriculum outlines, researching articles for e-learning initiatives, developing PowerPoint presentations, creating training evaluations, and supporting other training tasks as assigned by the Senior Supervisor, Training.
  • 5.
  • Attends in-services, educational sessions, and capacity-building trainings as required.
  • 6.
  • Participates in internal and off-site training planning meetings as assigned by the Senior Supervisor, Training.
  • 7.
  • Networks with external partners to expand training contacts and collaborations that enhance the agency’s training program.
  • 8.
  • Contributes organization, flexibility, and creativity to support the effectiveness of the training department.
  • 9.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education/ Experience

Master’s degree in a health-related field preferred, with at least one year of relevant work experience. Alternatively, a BA/BS in a health-related field with a minimum of three years of related work experience is acceptable. Candidate must be knowledgeable in adult learning principles.
