WEEKEND Direct Care Staff (13-18 Girls Residential Program)

The youth care advocate ensures professional, safe care for residential clients by enforcing ymca, dcf, and deec policies while acting as a positive role model and counselor. Responsibilities include monitoring clients during all activities, planning supervised activities, handling intake/Discharge procedures, and completing all necessary shift documentation.

Candidates must possess a high school education or equivalent and basic computer knowledge, along with the ability to read and write cohesively for incident reporting. Yearly completion of required training programs is mandatory, and map certification may be required within six months.
