Core responsibilities
Behavior technicians work one-On-One with children implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a bcba, using evidence-Based techniques to teach skills and reduce interfering behaviors. Responsibilities also include significant physical activity such as standing, walking, and lifting children or objects up to 50 pounds.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be passionate about helping children with autism, patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team, requiring a minimum age of 18 and a high school diploma or ged. Applicants must also be able to meet physical demands and obtain necessary certifications like cpr/First aid within a specified timeframe, with the registered behavior technician certification required within 45 days of onboarding completion.
