Core responsibilities
The behavior aide will collaborate with the teacher to deliver individualized services and support to small groups of students, monitoring behavior, tracking progress, and communicating with parents. Responsibilities include implementing academic models, providing customized behavior and academic support, and utilizing behavior intervention strategies, including de-Escalation and crisis management.
Requirements summary
A high school diploma is required, though college experience or a bachelor's degree is highly preferred. Experience working with special needs students in an educational setting is preferred, along with the physical ability to manage student needs, including lifting up to 50 pounds and responding swiftly to situations.
