The Reserve Police Officer is responsible for protecting life and property by conducting patrols, responding to emergencies, and enforcing laws across BYU campus properties. This includes performing criminal investigations, making lawful arrests, issuing citations, and assisting with shift coordination when supervisors are absent.
Candidates must possess a High School diploma or GED, be at least 21 years old with U.S. citizenship, and hold or be enrolling in a Utah POST Category 1 certification. Essential requirements include a valid Utah Driver License, clean driving record, and successful completion of background checks, physical exams, and fitness tests.
